Keynote Speakers Kara Robinson and Jeremy Sprague

Kara Robinson Chamberlain is a keynote speaker, media contributor, and survivor advocate whose work focuses on trauma-informed communication, resilience, and effective response in high-stakes moments. Kidnapped at age 15, she escaped and assisted law enforcement in identifying her captor—an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to survivor advocacy and public education. Kara later served in law enforcement as a school resource officer, investigator, and victims’ advocate. She has been speaking professionally since 2009 and has appeared on multiple television programs. Kara lives in South Carolina with her husband and three children.  https://youtu.be/S7PHxqSzsDI

Jeremy Sprague is a recognized national speaker and trainer for first responders. Jeremy served more than 19 years with the Des Moines Police Department and is currently the Chief of Police in Marion.  Jeremy will share about the impact on professionals providing this care and service. While the work may be heavy and daunting, professionals find growth and empowerment in this critical service area.  Jeremy is the Executive Director and Founder of Peer Support Foundation and serves as the President of Frontline Results Group, LLC.

Our VIP Event will offer an impactful opportunity for guests to meet 1:1 with survivors of our state.  Hear their personal stories of navigation through trauma and healing. This meaningful opportunity will allow you to hear just how critical the services of the SAFE Center of Iowa will lead the way for Iowa in victim care.

Attending our gala will help bring Iowa’s first SAFE Center across the finish line, funding critical renovation work to ensure survivors have access to a safe, trauma-informed place for healing and justice. Your support sends a powerful message that our community sees and hears survivors—and is leading the way in transforming the landscape of Iowa in care for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.

Every registration to this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.

Thank You for supporting The S.A.F.E. Center of Iowa, your support is invaluable.
